Family Advocate Supervisoer
Ms. Foster is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Masters Degree in Social Work and a Minor in Psychology with an emphasis on Family and Child Development.
Ms. Foster has over 15 years of experience involving advocacy for neglected and/or abused children and high-risk populations. Ms. Foster has completed Family Advocacy Supervisor and multidisciplinary training required by the state. Ms. Foster is an Active Parenting and a Darkness to Light Sexual Abuse Prevention Facilitator. Ms. Foster is also a Trust-Based Relational Interventionist, allowing her to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children and their families.
As a Family Advocate Supervisor, Ms. Foster is responsible for crisis assessment and intervention, provision of education and access to victim rights, trauma-focused mental health referrals, provision of court education, and advocating for the unique needs of each child and family, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed. Ms. Foster is responsible for guiding each family through the investigative and legal process, maintaining contact with the families to ensure healing and empowerment.
